Hi Frank, parts that we put on dont need to be certified, but you are not just allowed to do modifications to an engine.
Well, spent a few hours in the garage today, trying to put the Evo 1 front arches and bumper on, trying out the wheel
To get the nice original look i bought a few meters of this sealing tape. Jack Beckers gave me the partnumber, and according
to him some but perhaps not all Evos had this strip between fender and arch. Its got glue on one side
This is how it looks when applied to the inside of the Evo arch
Here is the arch bolted on to the front fender, close up of the sealing tape.
I could have skipped the seal, i spent a lot of hours getting the fit against the fender spot on, but
i think it gives it more of an OEM look, and it definitely helps keeping the paintwork pristine.
Here is the bumper back on, needed to space out the brackets on each side, to get the arches to line up properly with the bumper.
I also need to space out the wheel, here it is with a 15mm spacer, which brings the ET down to 20, which i what i will go for.
Just need to order proper spacers with centric PCD, and of course longer bolts
