Thanks Andy!
I also once had a -90 red 190E 2.0 automatic with sunroof and just love the strict but sober design of Bruno Sacci, and also of course the over-engineering.

My youngest brother is even more of a W201-freak than me. Unfortunately there's no Swedish 190-club - so he tried the join the norwegian one (without success). ;)

Hello Onkel Benz!

It's a 1993 and the chassi no is WDB2010291G00245. I believe and most of all hope it's one of the original 200 pieces. The former owner has done a beautiful work refurnishing the engine, couplings, bearings, gauges and even the Getrag gearbox so there's no slack anywhere. Now let's just hope I don't ruin it. ;) I guess the lid to the rear compartment isn't original, I don't have that rounded edge/fin. I heard the wing that's higher than the roof (EVO II-wing I guess) was a factory afterfit for some loads of Euros, considering a brand new 3.2 AMG was 90.000 US dollars back in the day I guess not all of them got wings.

German registry plate was S-M 4002 and it was imported to Sweden in december 2002.

Hello Andy

Klick here

http://old.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng

and give your correct FIN (the FIN you have postet is to short) into the white box, so you have alle the options that the owner of the car has ordered. So there also is a code with a 9xx number whitch must be the AMG-paket.

But I´m sure that your car is an orginal of the 200 series.

By the way, you don´t have an Getrag gearbox, only the 16 valve models had this gearbox.

The AMG-models has an gearbox from the E300-24V whitch has also the first gear left-down. This gearbox has been strengthened by AMG.

At this site
http://www.baureihe201.de/W201/amg.htm
you can also find more informations to the AMG-models (and all othe 190 models also)

Greetings

Onkel Benz

Very interesting information and links OB! The VIN-number from Mikael is also correct. The base being "Model 190 E 2.6 Australia" is sure interesting. But I do miss the Becker radio Grand Prix 2000 vk RDS!

Onkel: Yep, but I don't have it. Replaced by some Pioneer boom boom. ;) I saw you had some different codes for your car. Is it that you have the 317Nm-version?

Hello!

thats no problem, you can by an original Becker Grand Prix at ebay ;-).

The 317 Nm version is without the emission control system, short KAT named. Then the car has also 245 PS. But this was the early versons bevore 1992.

My car was one of the first of the 200 series at 12/91. First owner was Mercedes Benz AG Köln.

Greetings

Sweet!

Supposedly 3 of the 200 (including mine) is here in Sweden, rumours say the other two isn't rolling. Would be nice to track down these. I also found one in the list of 2000+ cars or so belonging to the sultan of Brunei! =) Haven't seen anyone on mobile.de in a while though. The EVO I and II are nice too, but about three times more expensive. I guess because of the racing pedigree?

Happy easter holidays everyone, soon off from work to fetch my car from oil and filter exchange/maintenance.

Apparently the sultan of swing has two... unfortunately no VIN-numbers on the 190's, but he's got some other nice MB's as well. :)

Hello!

The orange "Thing" at mobile isn´t a AMG. It has the 3,2 24V-engine (M104).

I hope nobody will deform an original AMG witch is more rar than an EVO, like this

Greetings

Onkel Benz
