Vacuum sensor in Ignition Control Module EZL

Beitragvon Cloudini » 10. Mai 2018, 19:44

Hi,
I have figured that the Pressure ? Or Vacuum sensor on my Ignition Control Module (0065453732) is stuck
, so the timing is not changed on engine load, i decided to open the ignition module to check if i can maby fix it instead of buying a new one, how ever i can not find/figure out what type of sensor or (vacuum potentiometer ??) or type of sensor this is, maby someone here knows more ?

Here are some pictures, maby someone can help me out, greeetings :)

Maybe someone can confirm if the same part is used in other EZL units?
eg cheap ones for a 190E 1.8/2.0 or W124

I never opened this units but I think you should try a cheaper 1,8 module, and remove the sensor from it.
You have nothing too loose! :party

tnx for the replies

i was reading somewhere that the timing degrees of pre ignition is different on all kinds of ezl module's so 2.3-16V has a other pre ignition degree than the 2.5-16 or
does the vacuum sensor itself does that or is it the resistors and capasitors arround that that does that. ?

ive found 1 or 2 ezl's on the internet that i might want to buy from a 230E and an 190e 1.8

but ive read some old topic on another forum about a lose new vacuum sensor that maybe costs 3 dollers new. is buyable on the internet somewhere but no source of shop or anything was attached to that message...

Kind regards
Wesley

I think the sensor can not do this.... It's not an actuator.... Only a sensor.

The internal map sensor (manifold absolute pressure) gives his value to the processor of the EZL , the processor has a programmed Mapping (in German Kennfeld) and gives output to the internal amplifier (Endstufe) which controls the ignition coil with an adapted/customized timing.
I'm not 100% sure, but most of all ECU work like this.
But in newer Systems, Injection and ignition are together in one Unit /Housing.... (Motronic /HFM for example)

I also have a damaged 16v EZL.... Maybe i should try to repair it too
