Ich dachte immer das Compomotive die nur mit Zentralbefestigung herstellt.
Die Firma müsste die Felgen auch schon damals für die DTM gemacht haben.

Compomotive can supply all their wheels in 5/112. I dont think Compomotive supplied their wheels to any teams in the DTM, OZ Racing however did these with centre bolt for many teams in the DTM. You could get OZ Racing 18" magnesium wheels in at least Ford fitment 4/108, but that was at least 10 years ago.

So the rest of the EVO bits arrived today, funny story actually. Hendrik the owner of ELBE engineering and the one who has produced these parts, sent me an email yesterday. He was in Bergen, Norway and would come to Gothenburg tomorrow bringing the kit with him! Thats what i call service.

Will post more pictures when i start fitting, front, rear bumper extensions and front splitter, rear arches will have to wait due to the amount of work it involves.

And i saw an other good thing, with you're inletmanifold you don't need to change the oilfilterhousing!for an external one. thats the one thing i really like.
That is really good news! i did not know that. because if you use the AMG
inletmanifold with ITB's it won't fit. this is the same with an flachschieber.

And are you using a dis ignition system? or will you stick to the rotor system?

And i dont mean the break booster but the cillinder it self: larger callipers, larger mastercillinder.

Grtz

Hi again, i only trial fitted it and i dont think it will clear the original oil filter, i have bought Atecs oil filter adapter.

Will keep the stock Bosch rotor together with a Volvo 850 ignition coil,

Is the atec filteradapterset equiped with an thermostat?
i can imagine goteborg is colder then germany. ;-)

and if you need a new cooler, put it in front of your radiator? you have more frontsurface to get air for your engine. or will you keep the cooler on the original position?

Good luck with the build!

Grtz.

P.s. the evo 1 rims used in DTM were from speedline.

check www.190dtm.de for more pics of an original evo1 dtm
and an some vids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIq6JwZSj9k

Hi the ATEC adapter dont have a thermostat, but outtakes for pressure ad temp sensor. I will not be using a thermostat, im only using this car in the summer and mostly for track days. Johan has the same setup and hes oil reaches the right temperature in only a few minutes.

As for the DTM wheels questions. Both OZ and Speedline was used on the EVOs, depending on sponsorship. For example the AMG/König-Pilsener used Speedlines for the last couple of races in the 89 season but switched back to OZ for the 1990 season.

The car you linked to is very interesting, saw it at the Tourenwagen Revival in may at the Nürburgring, it didnt however saw much action due the Marko team loss of sponsorship from AMG

A friend of mine collects DTM cars, i have posted pictures earlier of his cars.

Mikeal,
A in the summer, thats an answer i could expect.

I know that the "star"Evo 1 is for sale, and the onwner of an dutch Mercedes Dealer is the contact for the person who is selling the car from his collection.

Maybe your friend is interrested in the car? i heard it will be at the ADAC Eiffelrennen in the weekend of 26 september.

I've read on the website:
The car it wasn't allowed to race any more because it was faster than the factory team "AMG" and Marko quit DTM in the end.
The car is an original "werkstatt"car , with all the original parts with the original serialnumbers.

I will be there at saterday, maybe till then.

Here is Hendriks EVO parts fitted to the genuine fenders using M5 bolt, not that i havent done any modifications. This is how the parts from Hendrik came, bolts straight on just like the genuine items from Mercedes. The holes line up perfectly.

Front fender and arch, just need to prime the and sand them down before painting.

Here you can clearly see the huge different between a standard 16v arch and a EVO arch.Front bumper needs be cut to match the arch.

Various small parts, note the ABS-cover, mine was rather nasty looking.

Hi Mikael,

What is the dimension of these new wheels? Are they 17" or 18"?

What size of Tyres will you mount on them?

I found these from EVO1 and like them very much!
