Hello !

My days in Aachen are ending, und i habe to go back to Spain at the end of the month :-( .

Cheking what more can i buy for my 16v, I remember that I allways had the doubt about buy these bar o not.

My friends think that allways is better, because it makes thr cae rigider, but the people with w201 say:"you won´t feel any improvement in the car, that bar is for weak cars, and w201 is not, and the DTM ones did not wear it ".

But in truth when i go up to the sidewalk with the car i hear some noises from the inside plastics, as if the chassis is twisted.

I have seen them in ebay,Wiechers, are they good ?

And, it is better of aluminium or steel ? , and only in the front axis or better in the front and in the rear axis?

Well, before doing anything, i prefer ask to the experts :-)

Have a nice day !

Do you have the original Suspension?

recently we had a thread about fitment issues of the wicher bars (touching the bonnet, broken welding..). use the search function then you should find it.
a alloy bar is lighter, a steel bar more rigid. the dtm roll cage was made of steel because of the higher strenght.
due to the roll cage layout the dtm cars don't need a strut bar.
in theory the strut improves the torsion stiffness of the body.

Have you ever thought about an other suspension?
Now i have a H&R Cup-Kit! It is absoluty better than the original.
It is a little bit hard, but the car fells mutch better.

Try a new suspension! You will love it!
Only the Springs are not so good.

I promise you, its a absoluty great driving experience!

Hi Lude !!
You are warming me hehehe ( in the good sense! ) .
If i tell you the truth, i only know that in the front axis i have normal suspension, but lower, and normal sls back. My car is in Spain and i can´t check it now. My father drives another w201, with koni adjustable dams and lorinser springs, and it is lower than my 16v, but my 16v is harder i think.
But, did you remove the back sls ??
