Bernard.
No offense, but you´re talking of something you don´t know the first thing about.
Maki is absolutely correct.
FYI,K27 is a designation of the turbine axle size-NOT the size of the turbo.
For instance.I have a K27 laying at the shop that some of the forum members have even seen themselves that has a compressor inducer diameter of 68mm...rendering it plausible to push ONE such turbo inxs of 800PS.(I run a similar size turbo on my own 16V btw)
Have in mind that most K27 inducers hoovers around approx 50mm.
That a given turbo is "optimal"...again...no offense, but WHAT a load of crock.
In pure english-bullshit.
Turbo sizing is a matter of setup and intended use.Nothing else.
Further.
After seing the pic of the piston..true..ringpack is rather high, and piston pin placement alike.
That such a setup couldn´t be modified for turbo use though...again bullshit.
If anything the ringpack needs to come down a bit out of thermal reasons-to make especially the top ring survive the heat-and to lower compression would be a breeze design wise.
