Abgleichstecker KE ohne Kat: Mercedes Part Nr. 014 545 70 28
Abgleichstecker EZL ohne Kat: Mercedes Part Nr. 015 545 27 28 ........`?

Mercedes has them no longer

Abgleich stecker is just pack of different resistors for each position, go buy 1/4 watt resistor in nearest electronic shop price is ca 0,05€ for each of them, here is which values you need for which position, the most you will need EZL position nr1 that is infinity resistance, thats for EZL its Abgleichstecker is behind ABS pump and for values of resistance inside EZL RÜF Abgleichstecker it is the same as KAT one only positions are differently numbered (only for S and N) so just move EZL Stecker that you slready have from position 4 (s for KAT) to position 1 (s for RUF) for the most ignition advance (means more power, too). In position 1 in both AS there is nothing inside (infinity resistance) all other are the same.

For KE you need to remove KAT Abgleichstecker and in its position (there is two contacts to be seen after removal) near battery resistance of 51 ohms and your ECU is in RÜF programm nr 1 (the standard one). Be sure that inserted Resistor has good contact with its nest.

Hello shaq.

I bought my car in germany.
The car has a catalytic converter. according Mercedes is born without catalyst
When I look on the Mercedes program. has the 204 HP
engine code 102,990

I remove the catalyst and oxygen sensor.
I would like to put it back to the RUF.
buy the plug. it is easy????????????

I did the same with mine, the biggest problem was to find front silencer without cat, to cut or empty cat is nonsence don't do it you will lose power, find RUF front silencer

I bought my 2.5 RüF Exhaust from 16v Thomas here in Forum back in 2008. It is original RÜF 150kW front silencer made by Eberspächer, is extreme hard to find was looking for it for a very long time. I have 2.5-16, my EZL is from 2.3-16 ECE 1985 (more power with it) and on position 1 and my KE is now german version 2.5-16 also on RÜF position 1. Position 6 in KE is also good for those who have problems with accelaration (not enough fuel) as it changes map in chip and works totally different programme with it during acceleration phases. It is much better solution than (backyard trick) turning screw inside fuel valve 8)

His car is now sold, but before that as this exhaust was still on the car it experienced a lot of full throttle high speed driving as he was spending a lot of his free weekends on race track.

My car is reimport Swiss and Firmware for injection in KE for Swiss market is in few points different programmed (acceleration is a bit chocked) comparing to 2.5-16 or EVO1 for other countries in Europe (ECE) so I put Chip inside with programm for 2.5-16 for ECE Countries. This ECE has nothing to do with 2.3-16 ECE just the same name noting "for sale inside europe only". I also have chips for EVO2 and 3.2 AMG Originals from Mercedes but never tried them on my car, by checking their firmware out, it seems that they have whole different set of instructions comparing to 16vs. The same way 3.2 amg firmware is different comparing to standard 3.0 or 2.6 firmware :roll: as EVO2 is comparing to all others 16vs and EVO2 cannot be called into RÜF mode it works only in KAT mode but is faster and has broader rev. range.
